Man City 3-0 Swansea - Player Ratings

Jonathan de Guzman Still trying to work out quite how he missed when played one-on-one with Costel Pantilimon. Glorious opportunity to equalise but blazed horribly over. 5/10 Jose Canas Guilty of clumsily upending Alvaro Negredo outside the box to concede the freekick the Spaniard subsequently scored from for 1-0. Positioning poor throughout, offered his defence little to no protection. 5/10 Alejandro Pozuelo Wouldn't be starting but for the injury to Michu. Work-rate steadily sapped as the match wore on, which was frustrating. Hauled off for Nathan Dyer with 24 minutes to spare. 5/10 Jonjo Shelvey Swansea's star man. Shelvey was hard to handle at times, drawing two good saves from Pantilimon, and playing a killer through-ball into the path of de Guzman, who should have equalised. 7/10 Pablo Hernandez Made only his first start since September 1 but looked keen to make up for lost time, covering almost every blade of grass at the Etihad. Perhaps unfortunate not to have won a penalty after being brought down by Demichelis. Subbed with half an hour to go. 6/10 Alvaro Vazquez With Wilfried Bony out of the side with injury, it was up to Alvaro Vazquez to lead the line up front, but the rookie did little and Swansea looked toothless. Never looked like scoring. 5/10 Subs Nathan Dyer (5), Wayne Routledge (5) Do you agree with our player ratings? Share yours in the comment section, below.
