http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMoyBRkXQ50 Manchester City midfielder Gareth Barry has been charged with misconduct by the FA, according to The BBC The charge relates to an incident which occurred in the aftermath of Man City's defeat to title rivals Man United on Sunday. The England National is alleged to have used "abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official". The 31 year old now has until 16:00 GMT on Thursday to respond to the charge. If he chooses not to appeal, he will be handed a one game ban, ruling him out of his sides away trip to Newcastle United this weekend. An unsuccessful appeal that is deemed "frivolous" by the Governing Body meanwhile would result in the ban being increased to two games. City lost the Manchester Derby to title rivals United on Sunday after a last gasp deflected Robin van Persie free-kick sealed the three points for the Red Devils, putting them six points clear of City. Angry scenes followed, as United defender Rio Ferdinand was struck by a coin thrown from a section of the home support. City keeper Joe Hart meanwhile had to restrain a pitch invader who attempted to reach Ferdinand whilst he was recovering from the incident. Police arrested nine people after the game, whilst the fan who ran onto the pitch faces a lifetime ban.
