Man City Transfers: 10 Players Pep Guardiola Could Bring To Etihad
2. Paul Pogba (Juventus)
Ok, there's no real 'link' between Guardiola and Paul Pogba - he doesn't play in Spain or Germany, he's never coached him - but it doesn't take a genius (hence why I can do it) to work out that Man City, along with every other major football club in Europe, will be thinking of a move for the Frenchman this summer. At this stage, it seems almost inevitable that he'll leave Juventus, although he won't come cheap, and City are one of the only teams who could afford the asking price, thought to be around 100m. He looks to have everything needed from a modern midfielder - passing, shooting, vision, strength, stamina etc - and is only 22-years-old. Likely a future Ballon d'Or winner, or at least a top three player, buying him effectively sorts out your midfield for the next decade, so City would be daft not to be trying to sign him.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
