Man City Transfers: 10 Players Pep Guardiola Could Bring To Etihad

1. Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich)

When Pep Guardiola first took over at Bayern Munich, there was one player he made sure to bring with him from Barcelona: Thiago Alcantara. Though he seemed close to joining Manchester United back in the summer of 2013, there was a key factor in why he chose to go to Bayern: Guardiola. It hasn't worked out quite as well as either would have hoped since, mostly due to Thiago being extremely unlucky with injuries. When he is fully fit and playing, though, it's easy to see why he was the one Barcelona player Guardiola made sure to bring with him. He's the sort of player who makes it all look rather easy; he's never rushed, and possesses incredible passing skills and vision. City aren't exactly short of those types of midfielder, but neither were Bayern when Guardiola took over. He's someone the former Barcelona boss knows well and trusts to help implement his vision on the pitch, and he's likely to attempt to work with him for a third time in a third different country if and when he takes over at Man City. Who do you think Pep Guardiola will bring to Man City? Share your thoughts in the comments.
