The promising 21-year old striker began his career with
CF Can Rull before joining Barcelona's youth setup in 2002. He later moved to Espanyol after his contract with the Catalans expired in 2009 but returned to the Nou Camp a year later and has since broken into the senior side. Interest has since been shown by Manchester City in the talented youngster and Barca are desperate to tie down one of their brightest young stars to a new, long-term deal, but are yet to have done so. Tello was the subject of interest by Liverpool in the last transfer window but his signature would certainly please Guardiola, providing him with an opportunity to work with the youngster and oversee his development for a second time.
