Man City Transfers: 5 Players Manuel Pellegrini Can Do Without

4. John Guidetti

Labelled the 'new Ibrahimovic' by some, young Swede Guidetti certainly has a lot to live up to. I€™m sure most Blues would love to see for themselves what all the hype is about, but it doesn€™t look at all likely. Since joining the Citizens in 2008, Guidetti has completed several successful loan spells. Most notably, he spent most of last season with Dutch club Feyenoord, where he was a fan favourite and bagged an impressive 20 goals in 23 appearances. He currently resides on the City subs bench (if he's lucky), which isn't benefiting anyone, especially Guidetti. Yes, I'd like to see the Blues try to keep the Swede on their books, but it's vital that he is playing regular first team football, which City seemingly cannot offer him at the moment. Another loan spell looks the best option, both for Guidetti and the club.
