Man City Transfers: 8 Last Minute Signings That Could Happen

8. Isco (Real Madrid)

The one name that refuses to go away for Manchester City this January is Isco. Initially liked with the club over 18 months ago, the 23-year-old Spanish international has featured prominently for Madrid this season, however recent reports still assert that he's actively being touted around other clubs. Recently The Independent reported that Madrid had set the asking price at £25million, and that Manchester City would be competing with Arsenal over the deal. City's biggest advantage in the deal? That Isco already has a great working relationship with boss Manuel Pellegrini from their time at Malaga. Isco certainly wouldn't be one of Manchester City's marquee names, however his remodelling to a deeper midfield role under Carlo Ancelotti would give the team a more incisive presence than is currently afforded with either Fernando or Fernandinho. His desire to push on and join the attack is also something that the side sorely needs in the last weeks of the season.
