Man City Transfers: 8 Last Minute Signings That Could Happen

4. Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

Nothing quite says "title challenge" like a whiff of opportunism. Undoubtably last season's Player of the Year, Eden Hazard has been the poster boy for the reigning champions struggles this season. Short of fitness, bereft of form, and looking every inch a player who should be languishing near the lower reaches of the league. Even before all this, the rumblings of his discontent at Stamford Bridge were almost deafening, and it's clear that if he truly wants to recapture his form he'll have to do it elsewhere. This leaves Manchester City with not only the chance to take Chelsea's crown, but arguably the brightest jewel in it as well. With Kevin De Bruyne's injury likely to rule him out of all but the very end of the title chase, a replacement talent is desperately needed to fill the gap. Hazard's direct running, ability to beat two or three defenders in a pinch, and his eye for goal make him the perfect replacement. As outlandish as it seems, The Express have already reported that both the Manchester clubs have been quoted a price for him, should they wish to make any interest formal.
