Man City Transfers: City Plot Joe Hart Swap Deal For Hugo Lloris

Manchester City are reportedly plotting a sensational summer swap deal with Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur that would see Lilywhites' goalkeeper Hugo Lloris brought to the club with Joe Hart going in the opposite direction. Spurs' French international stopper has indicated a desire to be playing top level European football next season and, with Spurs unlikely to achieve anything better than a place in the Europa League, he could well be on his way out come the next transfer window. The likes of Ben Foster of West Bromwich Albion have been linked with the White Hart Lane club as Lloris' potential replacement, but this kind of news has underwhelmed Spurs fans. However, despite his sometimes wayward form at the Etihad in recent seasons, the signing of England number one Hart would go a long way to appeasing the loss of the current White Hart Lane favourite. It remains to be seen if Joe Hart would be willing to move to White Hart Lane, and there will likely be a plethora of clubs in for Lloris should he formally request a transfer - with the likes of Monaco, Barcelona and Real Madrid all linked in recent weeks - but a move north to Manchester could tempt him after a season in the Premier League in which he has performed extremely well for a struggling Spurs side. Hart and Lloris are both 27 - with Lloris actually being the older of the two by four months - and a player plus cash deal could well tempt Daniel Levy to cash in. How likely do you think this transfer is? What do City and Spurs fans think of this potential swap deal? Let us know in the comments box below.
