Queens Park Rangers are set to complete the signing of versatile Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung for a fee believed to be in the region of £2 million. According to The Guardian, QPR will complete the transfer of the 31-year-old South Korean international once the relevant paperwork is finalised. Park has been at Old Trafford for seven years after signing in 2005 from PSV Eindhoven for a fee of £4 million. At his time at the club, he has won four Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy and three League Cups. Ji-Sung has always been a favourite of United manager Sir. Alex Ferguson who often trusted him for the big games, though he was never seen as a key player for the Red Devils who would have a lengthy run in the first team. The reports that Park will choose to join QPR instead of fighting for his place at Old Trafford comes as no real shock after United completed the signing of Shinji Kagawa earlier in the summer. The sale could also suggest that Manchester United are intending to keep Nani at the club, using the the funds amassed to increase Nani€™s salary. Whilst the Guardian and Sky Sports News report the deal will amount to £2 million, the Mail Online has claimed the deal will reach £5 million.
