Swansea made history by winning at Old Trafford thanks to Wayne Routledge's early chip and a late Wilfried Bony header. Manchester United fell at the first FA Cup hurdle despite Javier Hernandez scoring as substitute Fabio was sent off. Defeat for the Red Devils €“ their fifth at home in all competitions this term €“ increases the pressure on David Moyes. United are still in the Capital One Cup, but look short of strength to defend their Premier League title and make a big splash in the Champions League. Wayne Rooney joined a lengthy injury list for the hosts as Moyes made six changes from the home loss to Tottenham Hotspur on New Year's Day. Defenders Nemnaja Vidic and Patrice Evra were rested completely whilst Michael Carrick, David De Gea and Adnan Janzuaj dropped to the bench. The Red Devils handed rare starts to Anders Lindegaard, Rio Ferdinand and Alex Buttner at the back. Shinji Kagawa, Hernandez and Darren Fletcher also came into the XI. Swans manager Michael Laudrup rotated his fullbacks in two of five alterations to the home defeat by Manchester City last time out. Ashley Williams and Jose Canas also dropped to substitutes. Winger Pablo Hernandez missed this match through injury. Jordi Amat, Leon Britton, Alejandro Pozuelo, Neil Taylor and Dwight Tiendalli got run-outs here.
