Man Utd: 10 Incredible Stats You Won’t Believe From The Moyes Era

4. Anfield Woes

United went to Anfield on September 1 in reasonable mood. They had earlier beaten Swansea 4-1 to give Moyes his first Premier League win as manager of the Red Devils before picking up a semi-respectable draw against Chelsea. But that mood was tempered when the defending English champions crashed to their first defeat of the season against Liverpool, with an early goal from Daniel Sturridge enough to seal the points for the home side. United had only failed to score once in their last seven Premier League trips to Anfield prior to this reverse, while Moyes's record against the Merseysiders is wretched - losing five and drawing six while in charge of Everton and the Red Devils, having never enjoyed an away league win as manager of either side.
