9. His Partnership With Ryan Giggs May Not Work
Its clear that there was a feeling at Old Trafford that Ryan Giggs must be involved in the new set-up; he has been installed as the Dutchmans assistant. However, its always dangerous when two people are put together that may not have same ideas or their personalities may not be compatible. Therefore, although Giggs is seen as an important part of the Manchester United family, that doesnt mean to say that it will work. Managers take the credit and the flak on results, but the reality is its always a team game. Van Gaal may be the main man, but his backroom team will be absolutely crucial if he is to be a success. This is nothing against Giggs coaching ability, but more about if he and the Dutchman will make cohesive coaching team or not. Id have to say that at the moment, the jury is certainly still out.
