Man Utd: 5 Reasons David Moyes Won’t Be Able To Save Champions’ Season

5. Man Utd Don't Have The Tools To Bounce Back Under David Moyes

Let's face facts; we are used to seeing the champions dominate in this league season after season. However, this season they are clearly not the dominate force. After five defeats from the opening 15 games this clearly isn't the same side they we are used to seeing. It's certainly true to say that United have had situation in the past when they have had to overcome a deficit, and more times than not they have managed to do that. Sir Alex Ferguson's teams always gave you that confidence that they would be able to bounce back, but that all seems to be sadly lacking this season. It's perhaps a little unfair to suggest that Moyes doesn't have the same ability to inspire the team as Ferguson. After all, the Scot is a very talented manager that proved his immense ability over the years at Everton. Nevertheless, he was often the underdog there and got a long way due to hard work and defensive stability. Managing the Red Devils though is an entirely different kettle of fish, it's a club that expects success and fans expect to win in style. Therefore, perhaps the majority of the problem is that Moyes needs to change his mentality to the job. It certainly won't be an easy fix and perhaps Moyes himself is the biggest obstacle to a United revival this season.
