Man Utd Handed Boost In Pursuit Of European Cup Winner
Agents talking again...
Manchester United have been handed a boost in their alleged pursuit of Carlos Bacca according to the Daily Star. The Columbian, who scored two goals to lead Sevilla to a 3-2 win over Dnipro in the Europa League final last month, has also been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur after becoming one of the leading lights in Spain. His performance in the final capped off a wonderful season for the Columbian where he scored 20 goals and created 28 chances in 37 La Liga appearances, firing Los Rojiblancos to a fifth-placed finish. The forward's agent has been speaking and revealed that his client will consider a big offer this summer, Sergio Barila said:
There are several clubs interested in Bacca. I cant deny theres interest from Roma, theyre a big club. Carlos is happy in Seville, as is his entire family, and this year theres also the Champions League which gives added value. However, in football you never know, and if big offers come in, then theyll be assessed with great peace of mind. The 28-year-old has reportedly had a £14 million price tag slapped on his head which will appeal to clubs of Manchester United's size. He is a player that could do a job for more than a couple of years and certainly looks like he could offer more than Robin Van Persie currently can while looks more suited to the Premier League compared to Radamel Falcao.
