Man Utd Transfer News: £35 Million Bid For Sami Khedira?

Manchester United manager David Moyes is weighing up a huge £35 million January bid for Real Madrid's Sami Khedira, according to the Mirror. The defending English champions are keeping tabs on the German international, as Moyes looks to strengthen his squad in the New Year. The former Everton boss even sent new assistant coach, and former Red Devil Phil Neville to check out the 26-year-old in Madrid's thrilling 7-3 home win over Sevilla last week. This isn't the first time United have shown an interest in the midfielder, with reports they made a late and unsuccessful bid over the summer. Moyes, as with many other of his top targets, ended up missing out and instead bought Marouane Fellaini from his previous club on transfer deadline day, but the Belgian star is struggling to make much of an impact. With Fellaini also being forced into wearing a protective wristband and facing an operation that could rule him out for two months, Moyes is eager to bolster his midfield at the next available opportunity. As well as being interested in Khedira, United are still keen on his Madrid teammate Fabio Coentrao, the left-back they also tried unsuccessfully to sign over the summer.
