Man Utd Transfer News: Lucas Moura Deal Is OFF

Lucas Moura's agent Wagner Ribeiro claims that Manchester United's pursuit of his client is off.

Lucas Moura's agent Wagner Ribeiro claims that Manchester United's pursuit of his client is off because Red Devils boss Sir. Alex Ferguson won't up his initial bid for the Brazilian star. The veteran Old Trafford boss made his move for the 19-year-old Sao Paulo midfielder last week but Moura's Brazilian club Sao Paulo turned the offer turn, reportedly wanting around £30 million for their prized asset. Moura is currently in England with Brazil's Olympic squad but despite overtures from the Premier League, Ribeiro believes his agent won't be moving away from South America this summer. He told UOL;
"They have reached their limit," "Lucas Moura won't leave. He is happy at Sao Paulo. we have to forget this subject. There is no possibility he leaves now. "Manchester United made an offer, which was rejected and they won't make another one as they reached their limit."
Meanwhile, United boss Sir. Alex Ferguson denied reports on Monday that a £26 million offer for Moura had been accepted. He said;
"It's not correct. We haven't reached an agreement for the player. "We have shown an interest, but until such time a we get a deal agreed, we can't say he's our player."
With Manchester United's interest in Moura reportedly cooled, we await to see if a second bid for Arsenal captain Robin Van Persie is made after United's original offer last week was turned down.
