Man Utd Transfer News: Robert Lewandowski Move Incorrectly Confirmed By Official Website?

Caught Offside and talkSPORT radio. A number of sources have claimed the Premier League Champions' website jumped the gun with the announcement - just as they did shortly before David Moyes was announced as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor and also the Premier League's accidental reveal of Jose Mourinho's re-appointment at Chelsea. Supposedly eagle-eyed viewers were able to capture the below screenshot of the alleged article just before it was pulled down... Lewandowski The article appeared to contain quotes from both incoming-United manager David Moyes and the player. Moyes said:

"Robert is a world class striker with a proven record in Germany and in European football. His talents need to introduction to our fans. His movement, finishing and all-round ability are outstanding".
Lewandowski supposedly then added:
"It's an honour to sign for Manchester United. I am looking forward to following in the footsteps of so many great strikers, bringing my experience and playing my part to help the team compete for the biggest trophies in the game."
However, this may yet prove to be an elaborate hoax by pranksters and United fans should probably not read too much into it at this stage. Interestingly, however, United were the favourites to land the Polish international's signature just before this news appeared, with Borussia Dortmund point-blank refusing to sell to domestic rivals Bayern Munich, who were also strongly linked with the player. Chelsea also maintain an interest in the prolific striker, who scored 36 goals in 48 overall appearances for the Black-Yellows last season. Do you think this is legit?
