Man Utd Transfer News: Sky Sports Expert Confirms Thiago Deal Is Almost Agreed

Thiago has also been targeted by the likes of Jose Mourinhos Chelsea but according to the expert journalist as well as English newspaper The Metro, the Thiago deal is almost completed. The English media have implied that the deal could be finalised in the next 48-hours meaning David Moyes will have seen off the likes of Chelsea in order to capture his second signing as Manchester United boss. The deal is believed to be worth £15 million due to the buy-out clause that the Barcelona youngster has although if United do not secure the deal in the next month then Thiagos reduced buy-out clause (due to playing in just 60 per-cent of matches last season) will rise to £77 million. Thiago was part of the U21 Spanish side that won the European Under-21s Championship earlier this month and the midfielder was a key reason for the 4-2 win over Italy having scored a first-half hat-trick. Manchester United have already been linked with other targets such as Kevin Strootman, Cristiano Ronaldo and Leighton Baines although it looks like these deals could take a back seat once United complete the transfer of the young Spaniard.
