Man Utd Transfers: 10 Flops Who Must Follow David Moyes Out Of Old Trafford

5. Marouane Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini was David Moyes's first big signing at the club when he followed the coach out of Everton last summer for £27.5 million. But his time at Old Trafford has been a disaster. Eyebrows were raised at the price tag and a number of indifferent performances coupled by long spells in the treatment room has led some onlookers to make the conclusion that his purchase was a mistake. Indeed, the afro-haired anchorman is looking increasingly more like a panic buy, signed on last year's transfer deadline day with the pressure on Moyes to sign at least somebody over the summer. The Belgian was Everton's top goalscorer and talisman last season, with 12 goals to his name. But he has yet to open his account in 20 league and cup appearances for his new side. And now, it may be that the midfielder finds himself out of the reckoning when the new manager comes in, having done very little to justify his place in the starting 11 thus far. Fellaini's departure after just one season would have been hugely unlikely had David Moyes stayed on as manager, but he no longer has the support of his former boss and, like the Scot, could be set for a short stay at Old Trafford.
