Man Utd Transfers: 10 Flops Who Must Follow David Moyes Out Of Old Trafford

6. Ashley Young

Ashley Young is another symptom of United's midfield problems and, like Nani, simply has not lived up to his potential since arriving at the Theatre of Dreams in 2011. Young scored nine goals and made fourteen assists in 39 appearances in his final season for Aston Villa before joining the Red Devils three years ago and expectations were high. But the Englishman simply hasn't recaptured that kind of form since, scoring just 11 goals in his three seasons at the club so far and showing he does not have the class to cut it at a world class club. Young has also been earning a reputation as a diver of late, with his cheating antics alienating him from United's fan base and making himself an unpopular figure in the game as a whole. Fans are hardly likely to shed a tear if and when the axe does come down on Young's troubled United tenure this summer, particularly with exciting talents Adnan Januzaj and Wilfried Zaha waiting to take his place.
