9. Fabio Da Silva (Out)
Fabio's twin, Rafael, has made the United right-back spot his own this season and the hope was that Fabio would establish himself as a big fish in a small pond at QPR and gain the experience needed to kick on. It would have led to a dream situation for Fergie's boys next season with Rafael lining up as United's number '2' alongside his twin as a younger alternative to current number '3', Patrice Evra. The twins, once hailed as the new Cafu/Roberto Carlos combination, would have offered a fairytale option on the right and left side of defence for both United and Brazil. Unfortunately, things have not quite panned out for Fabio, leading some to suspect that there may not be place in the United squad for a player struggling to get into the starting line-up of Redknapp's out-of-sorts QPR at the foot of the table.
How likely is this transfer? 75%: I can see Ferguson giving Fabio another season out on loan, perhaps in another major European league and more specifically Spain, where the player might fit in slightly better. The chances of a permanent sale may be lower, with Ferguson possibly reluctant to give up his Brazilian defensive dream just yet - having expressed his belief that the Brazilian has a bright future at Old Trafford (
according to the MailOnline.)
