Admittedly, this one is highly unlikely, but it's a deal Louis van Gaal should once again pursue in January. Manchester United were linked with Arturo Vidal over the summer, with the Juventus enforcer at the heart of one of the biggest will-he-won't-he dramas of the transfer window. In the end, however, he stayed in Turin. But that's not to say the deal is dead. United's need for a defensive midfielder persists, and there are very few options better than Vidal. Nicknamed Il Guerriero ("The Warrior") by the Italian press, the Chile international's tough and unrelenting style of play would give United their answer to Manchester City's Yaya Toure. United's midfield aren't dominating games anymore. Anderson and Marouane Fellaini have been shocking of late while the less said about Tom Cleverley, the better. They need steel in their engine room because teams like Swansea and Burnley are taking them for a ride. The acquisition of Vidal would certainly make van Gaal's side less of a pushover.
