Man Utd Transfers: 10 Replacements For Scholes
8. Mario Gotze
As part of the never-ending (it seems) production line of immense German talent, Mario Gotze looks to have made his impact at Dortmund contributing heavily to their back to back Bundesliga titles. Gotze, at 19, has shown himself to Joachim Low, German national coach, who selected him in his Euro 2012 squad, managing to get himself a starting place in 1/4 final win over Greece. Touted as the next best thing by Dortmund director of football Matthias Sammer, he's established a good partnership with all around him in the Dortmund midfield allowing a fluid style of play and passing (a trait Ferguson and many others for that matter, like their teams to play like). However, if he could be tempted from his role in the Dortmund team and all their possible future success, it'd certainly hard to prize him away from his role there and go to Old Trafford. Having said that, Sir Alex has produced a transfer coup or two in his 26 year tenure so far.
