Man Utd Transfers: 10 Signings To Ensure Premier League Glory

4. Fredy Guarin

For long-time fans of Football Manager, Freddy Guarin is somebody who holds a special place in the hearts of many. Pick him up early enough and cheap enough and you have somebody who you can build your team around for the next decade or more. After a slow start to his Serie A career after joining Inter Milan from Porto, Guarin has started to hit some impressive form this season, despite Roberto Mancini€™s Inter most definitely being a team in transition. In terms of what Manchester United are crying out for in the middle of the park, Fredy Guarin ticks a whole host of boxes. He can tackle, he can pass, he has a big engine on him, he's a physical presence, and man oh man can he strike a ball. Colombian Guarin, 28, looks to be on the cusp of peaking, being one of Inter€™s best players this year, and his box-to-box, all-action style is just what Utd need in their pedestrian midfield. After doing so well for Porto in the less competitive Pemeira Liga, it looks as if he has finally found his feet in one of Europe€™s top leagues. If for nothing else, it€™d be worth seeing Guarin at Old Trafford purely for some of the screamers that he€™d score.
