Man Utd Transfers: 10 Signings To Ensure Premier League Glory

3. Cristiano Ronaldo

It seem as if the only way the rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo€™s Old Trafford return will go away is if he actually re-signs for Manchester United. Whilst Utd€™s main problems seem to be at the heart of their defence and their midfield, CR7 is an addition that nobody at any club in the world would turn down. Whether Cristiano€™s regular fluttering of eyelashes at Man Utd is simply a ploy to get a better contract from the Real Madrid hierarchy or is a genuine fondness to return to the Theatre of Dreams one day is the question that has everybody speculating. During his previous stint at Old Trafford, Ronaldo was used primarily on the flanks, initially on the right and then latterly on the left, and he often finds himself on the left wing for Madrid. But if ever there was a complete forward in the modern game, that man is Cristiano Ronaldo. Given Utd€™s problems in the striker position, Ronaldo€™s arrival would answer a lot of questions when it comes to goals. With Van Persie seemingly on the wane, Falcao frankly not cutting it, Javier Hernandez deemed surplus to requirements, James Wilson merely a promising prospect at this stage, and Wayne Rooney looking like he has a future in midfield, how could the Old Trafford return of the world€™s greatest player be a bad thing? Ronaldo is guaranteed to bring goals by the bucket-load. Simple. The only thing more certain than a Ronaldo goal is Manchester rain. Plus he gives Manchester United an instant shot of credibility and reassures doubters than Man Utd are indeed still amongst the elite.
