Man Utd Transfers: 10 World Cup Stars To Target This Summer

4. Arjen Robben

With Louis van Gaal set to take the Manchester United job, it might not come as a total surprise if the Netherlands boss brought some of his countrymen with him. And one of those countrymen could be Bayern Munich and Holland wing wizard Arjen Robben, who has been touted as one of van Gaal's first summer signings at Old Trafford. Following Bayern's embarrassing Champions League exit at the hands of a ruthless Real Madrid, Robben is being singled out as a player Pep Guardiola may let go this summer as he begins to overhaul a side he inherited from Jupp Heynckes. Their loss would certainly be our gain considering Ashley Young, Nani and Antonio Valencia have all endured a difficult season, while Robben already has proven Premier League experience having played for Chelsea. It is unlikely we would have to break the bank to land the 30-year-old, either, considering his age and apparent valueless at the Allianz Arena, and a successful World Cup could see him follow van Gaal to Old Trafford.
