Man Utd Transfers: 5 Ball Playing Defensive Midfielders To Target

4. Ki Sung-Yueng

Ki Sung-Yueng has certainly impressed playing for Sunderland this season on loan from Swansea. The South Korean is another player with superb passing ability and at 24 years of age would be a fine addition for Moyes€™ team. This would even be the case if he was initially targeted in order to give the midfield more depth. Ki also offers more from the attacking side even though he€™s only found the net once this season, and has yet to provide an assist; but does manage 1.6 shots, 1.3 key passes and 1 dribble per match. Again though, Ki€™s presence in this list is due to his ability to pass the ball, and in that regard he has passing success of 91.1% this season. In terms of his other qualities, tacking is probably the strongest with 1.8 per game. Prior to signing for Swansea, the South Korean player was at Celtic between 2009 and 2012 €“ where he also impressed. On top of all that, he€™s made 55 international appearances for his country, which includes scoring five goals. Bearing in mind the player seems to be unwanted in Wales; it would be a shock to see him signing for Man Utd €“ but his passing stats certainly make impressive reading.
