Man Utd Transfers: 5 Dream Signings That Could Revive Moyes's Career

2. Marco Reus

With the financial problems of Reus's club Borussia Dortmund and their hitherto disappointing league campaign, Manchester United have a chance at signing the German great. Marco Reus would offer a new option on the wing that is much needed, after numerous reports of Nani leaving, Moyes's lack of faith in Wilfred Zaha, and the inconsistency of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young. United have struggled to find a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, but Marco Reus is about as good as a replacement gets. The Dortmund star is tall, prolific, quick and skilful, and is well worthy of taking the #7 shirt that Antonio Valencia vacated last summer. Responding to a question about who would next wear the infamous number 7 jersey that has been worn by the likes of Ronaldo, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and George Best, manager David Moyes said with a smile,
"You'll have to work that one out for yourself."
Rumours of another attempted swoop for Toni Kroos may also encourage Reus to make the move to Manchester, though United may face some stern competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Paris St. Germain. A move for Reus may cost £40 million plus, but Moyes has spent big in the past and may be willing to do so once again to get his man.
