Man Utd Transfers: 5 Dream Signings That Could Revive Moyes's Career

3. Toni Kroos

Toni Kroos was the man linked to a move to Old Trafford the most in the precedent January transfer window, but the deal never surfaced. Rumours suggest that Moyes will attempt to raid Bayern Munich again for Kroos's services, and with the competition he faces, he may be willing to make the move. Pep Guardiola has admitted in the past that he would not stand in the way of a potential deal with United, and Kroos offers a much needed central midfield option. After Paul Scholes's retirement, United have lacked creativity in the midfield area. Though the signing of Juan Mata certainly provides this, it is the defensive work that Scholes also provided which is still lacking, and Kroos offers a solution to the problem. At just 24, the German international has plenty of time to flourish in the Premier League and his reported contract disputes with Bayern Munich may lead to a move away from the German giants. Reports suggest that it could take £25 million to prise Kroos away from the Allianz Arena, which is somewhat of a coup given the £30 million price tag of Marouane Fellaini. United lack options in the central midfield area, with the 32 year old Michael Carrick being the only consistent mainstay this season. With Moyes reportedly watching Kroos closely, a swoop for the German in the summer would be no surprise, and would be a sensible option.
