2. Cesc Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas was heavily linked with a move to United over the summer and was the subject of a failed £30 million bid from the English champions before reiterating his desire to stay at Barcelona. The ex-Arsenal captain excelled in England during his time in north London and made a name for himself as one of the topflight's most creative players, but one reason why United were (and still are) interested. With Paul Scholes retired and any hopes of securing a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo off the table, the Red Devils need to turn their attentions elsewhere for a new playmaker. And that playmaker could be Fabregas, a player whom, despite apparently pledging his allegiance to Barca, is
still on United's radar. The Reds are hoping the midfielder will find himself unsettled at the Nou Camp by January having started only two full games so far this season, and that was only due to injury sustained by Lionel Messi. Meanwhile, Neymar continues to shine and United are hoping Fabregas is squeezed out of the club this winter.
