4. Fabio Coentrao
The Portuguese wing-back only signed for Real Madrid from Benfica two years ago but he has found life difficult at the Bernabeu since. The 25-year-old only made 16 league appearances for Jose Mourinho's side last season and has struggled to nail down a starting berth in the Spanish capital, with lvaro Arbeloa being preferred instead. That has led to Coentrao claiming he never felt wanted by the club and now a summer move seems certain. The former Benfica man is also capable of playing in midfield which makes him similar in those regards with David Luiz of Chelsea, who have been linked with the Portuguese international. That versatility would seem to suit United though given they also need a new midfielder and his capture would seem to kill two birds with the one proverbial stone. Though they would face stiff competition from the Blues, and also Benfica, who
are interested in re-signing the star, Coentrao is worth making a bid for considering the various roles he could fill at Old Trafford.
