3. Philip Lahm
German defender Philip Lahm could well be the best replacement for Patrice Evra. Whilst Lahm is usually a right-back, using the German on the left would add added strength to Uniteds left side, something the club desperately needs. With Manchester United rumoured to be selling
Nani and with Ashley Young not been the strongest of Uniteds player, the left side of the Premier League champions could look very weak come the start of the season, especially if Evra leaves for French side Monaco. Lahm is by far one of the best defenders in the world today and with several United veterans such as Rio Ferdinand and Ryan Giggs coming to the end of their career, at the age of 29-years old, Lahm can add must needed European experience to Uniteds team. Lahm has been a solid member of not only the Bayern Munich side but also the German international squad and with his recent success at Munich he may not be comfortable with leaving Germany. The only downside to Philip Lahm is that Bayern Munich would require a huge fee for the defender, something The Red Devils probably wouldn't want to match.
