Anthony Martial arrived at Manchester United as one of the most highly rated youngsters in Europe. Right at the end of the 2015 transfer window, the French forward sealed a big money deal to United and quickly drew comparisons with Thierry Henry.

Early goals in his Red Devils career helped Martial to settle in England and he seemed set to become a huge player for United, winning the prestigious Golden Boy award and scoring 11 Premier League goals in his debut campaign. Then, things started to go a little badly. In the 2016-17 season, Martial lost his place in the starting eleven under new manager Mourinho and suffered some personal issues that seemed to be affecting his on-field performances.

Rumours linked Martial with a move away, but he stuck around for another season, scoring nine league goals but struggling to really tie down a starting spot. The addition of Alexis Sanchez to United's ranks has only intensified the competition for the forward slots at Old Trafford and right now, Martial doesn't seem like one of the frontrunners. He missed out on a spot in the French World Cup squad and Mourinho doesn't appear to think too highly of him, so the time might be right to Martial to move on.
