Juan Mata is a fantastic footballer and, by all accounts, a great human being too, with the Spanish midfielder introducing the 'Common Goal' movement, encouraging footballers to donate 1% of their enormous salaries to charitable causes.

A small but skilled playmaker, Mata enjoyed a couple of great years at Chelsea before making a move to United in January of 2014. At the time, it seemed like Mata and then-Chelsea boss Mourinho were struggling to get along, but the pair enjoyed a fruitful reunion at Manchester United, where 30-year-old Mata has played some of the best football of his career. However, Mata hasn't had quite as much game time under Mourinho as he did in previous years and his influence has faded over time.

He's a great player who can still offer a lot to many teams, and was even linked with Barcelona not too long ago. With Paul Pogba growing into a more important player for United and Mourinho eager to strengthen several areas of squad, opportunities will be limited for Mata and he could benefit from a move elsewhere.
