Man Utd Transfers: 7 Players Louis Van Gaal Needs To Get Rid Of Today

5. Marouane Fellaini

It's fair to say that Marouane Fellaini has struggled since completing his £27 million switch from Everton on transfer deadline day last year. And, 12 months on, could we be about to see the misfiring midfielder's stay at Manchester United cut short? Currently out with a foot problem, injury has been the story of his career at Old Trafford so far. He missed large portions of last season after being forced to undergo an operation on his wrist, but even when he has been fit (which is rare) he has hardly excelled. Fellaini scored 11 Premier League goals in 31 appearances during his final season at Everton but has yet to open his account for United in competitive action. There are some who claim the Belgian international should be given more time to succeed at Old Trafford while others have run out of patience already and it will be interesting to see which side of the fence Louis van Gaal sits on come 11pm tonight.
