Man Utd v Newcastle - Line-ups & Team News, Live On Sky Sports

Team News

Manchester United are having a toured time with injuries as of late and with Nemanja Vidic, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones ruled out of the game they will have to turn their attention to the likes of Jonny Evans and Alexander Buttner. United€™s defensive woes have caused serious issues for the club and has resulted in the team conceding six goals in as many games. Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia are also ruled out of the game after Valencia was seen leaving Carrington on crunches earlier this week. United fans do however have the full return of Darren Fletcher to look forward as the Scot is likely to join the likes of Nick Powell, Anderson and Tom Cleverly in midfield. United will no doubt rest Robin van Persie and look to use Welbeck and may even bring Wayne Rooney on from the bench, who is rumoured to be ready to play a part in the game following his injury against Fulham last month. Newcastle United will likely field a stronger side as they try to grab a win at Old Trafford this evening. They are, however, also missing key players through injury with Tim Krul, Danny Simpson and Ryan Taylor all sidelined. Krul, who is suffering an elbow injury, and Simpson, hamstring, are expected back later this week. Alan Pardew has hinted that both Tiote and Fabricio Coloccini will start the game after both players have now officially recovered from injury and need to regain their fitness.
