Man Utd vs Liverpool: The Last 5 Meetings

Liverpool 1 - 1 Manchester United (15 October 2011, Anfield, Premier League)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBlJGlW4rUU This was a game that had both manager's disagreeing vehemently. Sir Alex Ferguson said that he believed his team's games against Liverpool were the biggest of the season in which Kenny Dalglish responded with: "I've always said the most important game is the next one. It's Manchester United this time and next week it will be Norwich City." In any case, this was an important game. And once again Suarez was running riot in United's defence with the Uruguayan also getting the best chance in what turned out to be a slow and goal-less first half. The deadlock was broken in the 68th minute however, from a free kick by Steven Gerrard that was helped by a hole in United's defensive wall. In the end the games finished all square as Hernandez scored from a corner, this time his goal against Liverpool made a lot of difference. The game was also unfortunately marred by controversy as Suarez racially abused Evra which would later lead to him being fined and given an 8 match ban.
