Liverpool 2 - 1 Manchester United (28 January 2012, Anfield, FA Cup)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4y5lYRxawg After being knocked out of the same competition by United in 2011, Liverpool had the chance to seek revenge on their rivals. Luis Suarez was in the stands for this one due to his ban which meant Carroll was given a start. Liverpool started the better team and were able to take the lead via a Daniel Agger header. And some question marks were raised about how United's Goalkeeper, David De Gea dealt with it - he may have done better. But a few minutes before half time United got a goal that had been coming as Park slotted the ball into the bottom right hand corner of Liverpool's net. It was a fairly slow second half. However it had a massive finale. It was the Dutchman Dirk Kuyt who was back to foil United once again. The substitute latched onto a desperate up field hoof from Reina in the 88th minute and slotted the ball passed the United goal keeper. Anfield was sent into euphoria as Man United were knocked out of the cup.
