Wigan may have been fighting for safety for the last few years, but they consisently manage to perform against higher teams. The result against Manchester United was only one of many great results against big teams last term. Their terrific results included a 2-1 and 0-0 against Liverpool, 4-0 win over Newcastle, 1-0 win over United and 2-1 win against Arsenal. Wigan have proven they can match the big teams and will want to recreate this starting tomorrow against Manchester United. It needs to be noted that the last time these two teams met at Old Trafford Manchester United came out victorious with a 5-0 thrashing.
