4. Wayne Rooney Is Injured

Following his injury against Fulham near on a month ago, Wayne Rooney looks set to miss this game. If Rooney and Robin van Persie do miss the Wigan game, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will have to lay his trust in Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez. Rooney is set to be back sometime in next few weeks and could possibly feature by the end of the month.

3. Wigan Have Shocked Sir Alex Before

Last season Wigan climbed out of the relegation zone and defeated Manchester United who were then 1st. The 1-0 win brought Wigan to safety and cut United€™s eight point lead over rivals Manchester City to five points and in some way helped City claim the league. Shaun Maloney€™s finish shook Manchester United and caused the team to panic but despite their best efforts United were defeated and if Fergie underestimates them again it could well be a repeat of last€™s years shocker.
