Man Utd: Worst Ever Premier League 11

Striker 1: David Bellion

Bellion It is actually quite surprising that Manchester United, in their time, have had a number of poor strikers on their books, with the likes of Dong Fangzhuo, Mame Biram Diouf and Michael Owen not living up to the heroics of Mark Hughes, Andy Cole, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ruud Van Nistelrooy and most recently Robin Van Persie. However, David Bellion proved to be somewhat unique in being touted as the next Thierry Henry, but unfortunately his appearance proved to be deceiving. In fact in front of goal he was something more of a Bell-End. Signed from Sunderland amidst a alleged tapping-up scandal, Bellion scored two Premier League goals in his first season of the club, and by the time he left in 2006, he had managed to only double that achievement. Bellion was pacy, but was unable to display a killer instinct that would have complimented that speed effectively. His chances were limited when the club signed Wayne Rooney and Louis Saha, so he was loaned to West Ham to get some experience, only to find that he wasn't good enough to cement a first-team place there either. He soon returned to France having made little-to-know impact in Manchester, apart from a minor blip in the finances.
