Giorgio Chiellini (CB) - Juventus
Hard tackling, no-nonsense centre back that would be a perfect partner for Vincent Kompany. At 27, he is just reaching his peak. He has strength, aggression, composure, speed and experience. Chiellini started at Livorno as a midfielder but eventually found a home at left back. When Juventus were relegated to Serie B he was moved to centre back and he grew from there. Now Vice Captain at Juventus and a stalwart of the Italian national team he has everything you would want in a partner for Kompany. Rumour has it that he is available for £16 million this summer which if it's true every club in Europe should be opening their cheque books. Antonio Conte moved him to left back to accommodate Andrea Barzagli but even so I can't see him going so cheap. Cost: £25 - 30 million.
