Manchester United: 5 Reasons They'll Win The FA Cup This Year

2. The Potent Strike Force

One of the reasons that United have won so many games without playing well this season is because their strike force has the quality to be able to bail them out when the defence has often been shaky. It is almost as they have adopted a "we'll score one more than you" mantra at times and at the end of the day, football, especially in cup competition, is a results business. The signing of Robin Van Persie has been inspired; the Dutchman has scored a very impressive 23 goals in 32 appearances so far for the Red Devils and you would never bet against him netting again in any game. But the strike force is more than just RVP: Wayne Rooney has taken to a deeper role as an attacking midfielder playing just off the former Arsenal man and has turned into a player who looks to create, finding pockets of space and crafting goals as well as scoring them himself. And then you have the wingers, be it Welbeck, Valencia, Giggs or Nani who offer pace and creativity from out wide and certainly contribute their fair share of goals as well. Manchester United always look like scoring and do not usually take many chances to do so and in cup competitions there are no second chances so it is vital to have a potent strike force.
