Manchester United's Greatest 23-Man Squad Of The Premier League Era
16. Phil Neville (England, 1995-2005)
Of all of United's 'squad players' such as the aforementioned Wes Brown and John O'Shea, Phil Neville stands out as perhaps the most renowned, even if he did spend much of his career in the shadow of his brother Gary.
Coming through the professional ranks in 1995, Neville was ultimately the victim of his own versatility as he saw himself frequently utilised in midfield as well as at full back, but was a consistently dependable presence wherever he played for ten years, before his search for frequent first-team football took him away from Old Trafford and to Everton instead.
