Unbelievable. A chessboxing fight consists of 11 rounds, 6 rounds of chess and 5 rounds of boxing. Each round lasts three minutes, regardless of whether it involves chess or boxing. Players alternate between a round of chess and a round of boxing until one is declared winner either by checkmate, knockout, or technical stoppage. It was initially only thought to be an art performance but quickly turned into a fully developed competitive sport that is popular in Germany, Great Britain, India and Russia.
