New Chelsea Manager: 5 Best Options Now Pep Guardiola Is No Longer Available

abramovic In June 2003, Russian Billionaire Roman Abramovic seized control of Chelsea and began building his "Roman Empire" at Stamford Bridge, completely reversing the club's fortunes in the process. A first league championship in fifty years was captured in the 2004/2005 season, and that was followed up with another three triumphs, four FA Cups, two League Cups and, most importantly of all, the one trophy Abramovic coveted the most - the UEFA Champions League. But it's all come at a cost, and I'm not talking about the wild amounts of money the Russian has reportedly invested into the side. Claudio Ranieri became the first victim of the Blues never ending pursuit of success. He was sacked in 2004 to be replaced by a certain Jose Mourinho who had just won the Champions League with Porto. But even the "Special One" wouldn't last long when he too was relieved of his duties in 2007. Eight more managers have followed, some on an interim basis, others on a permanent but not-so-permanent-after-all contract. That's eight managers in as many years and Abramovic hasn't settled on one of them. He thought he had at last found his man when Pep Guardiola took a satirical from football and apparently appointed former Liverpool manager on an interim basis just to keep the seat warm for the Spaniard, that was until he snubbed Chelsea to become new manager of Bayern Munich yesterday. That now leaves Abramovic contemplating what to do next - who will be the new long-term manager at Stamford Bridge (if there even is such a thing)? Here are 5 possible candidates.
