Newcastle 2014-15 Season Review - 20 Stats From The Campaign

9. 8 - Set-Piece Goals Scored By Newcastle, The Joint Second-Lowest In The Premier League

Newcastle have been useless at set-pieces - both offensively and defensively - for a number of seasons now, and 2014-15 proved to be no different. Only Swansea City (six) scored fewer than Newcastle - who were joint second-lowest set-piece scorers alongside Hull City, Burnley and Southampton with eight. Three of those goals came from free-kicks (all in-direct), four came from corners, and one came from the penalty spot. A paltry return from an entire season.
