Appearances (All Competitions): 6 (4) Minutes Played (Premier League): 634 Assists (All Competitions): 1 Goals (All Competitions): 1 Yellow Cards (Premier League): 4 Red Cards (Premier League): 0 To even play football again having battled back from cancer would have been a huge achievement for Gutierrez - but his exploits in a black-and-white shirt, particularly during the 2-0 victory over West Ham United, show how special a human being the Argentine really is. In his 10 appearances since returning from his cancer treatment, Gutierrez did not put a foot wrong - although unspectacular at times, he was the only player to turn up during the 1-0 loss to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, and his assist and goal against West Ham ensured Newcastle's Premier League survival. If Gutierrez is to leave Newcastle this summer, as looks likely to be the case once his contract expires, then it will upsetting to see him depart - but what a magnificent high to go out on. The man is an absolute inspiration - and he will be forever loved on Tyneside, and rightly so.
