Newcastle Loan Report: Adam Armstrong Fires Coventry To League One Summit
The young forward just can't stop scoring...
Newcastle Uniteds first-team squad may have failed to win either of their opening two Barclays Premier League games of the season, but they were not the only Magpies on display this week. In fact, there are currently four members of the Toon squad who are out and about at various clubs across the Football League on loan, plying their trade and learning their craft in the lower divisions of English football. Forward Adam Armstrong has moved temporarily to League One Coventry City, while winger Sammy Ameobi has headed out on loan to Championship side Cardiff City. In addition, versatile left-winger or left-back Shane Ferguson has found himself in London and Englands third tier with League One Millwall, while young goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is enjoying his first real taste of senior football with League Two Crawley Town. Here, WhatCulture.com/NUFC runs you through how each of the four Newcastle United loanees got on in their respective games on Tuesday night...
